Quick Reference
Before investing in power tools, a core set of hand tools handles the majority of common repair and renovation tasks reliably and quietly.
Striking
A 450 g claw hammer covers most tasks: driving nails, light demolition and pulling fixings. Fibre-glass handles absorb shock better than wooden ones over long sessions.
Fastening
Czech construction commonly uses PZ2 Pozidriv screws rather than Phillips. A set covering PZ1, PZ2, PZ3 and flat sizes handles virtually all domestic fixtures.
Measuring
A 5 m tape measure and a 60 cm spirit level are the two most-used measuring tools in any renovation. Magnetic tips and a lockable blade make single-handed use practical.
